HackEd is a multidisplinary hackathon focused on education, open to all majors and all years. Projects can range from educational game design, to blackboard improvement prototypes, to an app for homework submission - anything that your team believes will improve education!

What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is an event where people from all backgrounds can come together to work on a project that inspires them and possibly could change the world.

Who can attend?

Any current CMU student is welcomed to come to this event!

Where is it located?

Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA 15213

What should I bring?

All you need is a laptop and some passion to try out something new. We will provide everything else (including lunch, dinner, and swag)!

What if I dont have a team or an idea?

No problem! We'll help attendees form teams of up to 4 people and mentors will be around to provide guidance and support.

What can I build?

Anything you want that is related to education and technology. It can be a game, a tool for classrooms, a homework helper, or anything else you think of!
